Maiko Chii is a New York–based set desig and educator with over 20 years of professional experience and nearly a decade of teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Her work spans Off-Broadway, regional theater, and university productions across the Tri-State area. In recent years, her focus has expanded to educational theater, where collaboration with students and creative problem-solving within limited resources have become central to her practice.

As both a designer and educator, she is particularly interested in the relationship between text, space, and collaboration in the design process.
